Key Elements to Disaster Preparedness


With the recent threats and destruction from Mother Nature you’ve probably been hearing more about disaster preparedness.  There are the key elements to this; 1 gal of water for each person for at least 3 days, non-perishable foods, batteries for the radio and flashlight and clothing to help protect you from the elements. Did you also think to check on what exactly your home insurance covers? How about your vehicle insurance? While a hurricane may not make its way into central PA, or wherever you’re located, there are weather events that can spur from a hurricane that could affect you.

Some policies may even cover your time spent living in a hotel if you can’t live in your home after a force of Mother Nature. It can be scary to think of all of the what-ifs but it can be even more scarier to not have the right policy.
