It’s Credit Union Youth Month

Financial literacy is a crucial life skill for young people, but it’s one that too few are learning.

That’s why throughout the month of April, we are focusing on helping youth become more financially fit and credit union strong. We will be presenting a number of opportunities to help Southcentral Pennsylvania youth strengthen their money skills and pump up their savings.

Here are a few of the initiatives we have planned:

Learning to save at a young age is very important. For every $10 deposit a child makes into his or her Youth Club account, he or she will receive one entry to win one of these fabulous prizes:

And we have a special promotion available from April 18 to April 30 for brand new Youth Club accounts! If you open a new Youth Club account, we’ll deposit the child’s initial $5 and give that child a special free gift:

  • New Kids 1st account (ages birth – 12) – child will receive a free piggy bank and copy of the book, Boxcar Indy Goes to Doggy World by Tracy C. Jones.
  • New iMember account (ages 13-19) – child will receive a free pair of ear buds.

We also have a drawing page for a child to sketch their favorite way they stay credit union strong and a special savings tool to monitor how deposits add up.

Also, we encourage youth and their families to participate in these fun-filled events at the conclusion of Youth Month:
